Introducing Bookdelish (and what's next for Create Cookbooks)

A family business

Create Cookbooks started a long time before there was a website. My mum, Susanne, was helping schools put together fundraising cookbooks: gathering recipes from parents, designing layouts, sorting print runs, and walking each school through the whole thing. It worked because of what she does best: making a book look beautiful, getting it printed properly, and looking after the people on the other end. If you've worked with her, you know.

A few years back, I built the software side. I'm just the nerdy son who got into software engineering and figured I could help. The platform let us pivot to a self-serve model: suddenly it wasn't just schools and community groups. Making a cookbook was something anyone could do, and we're still incredibly proud of that.

But as we've grown, we've realised that giving a dedicated focus to both the software and the hands-on service is the best way to give you a streamlined experience. I'm stepping up to run the platform full-time, and Susanne is going back to doing what she's always been best at: designing, printing, and looking after you.

What's changing

Two brands, one platform:

  • Create Cookbooks is an easy-to-use platform for making your own cookbook, with beautiful templates and collaboration features.
  • Bookdelish is Susanne's full-service offering. Same person, same quality, same Create Cookbooks platform under the hood. Just a new name on the door, and a new address: info@bookdelish.com.

What this means for you

If you signed up for Premium or Community when Susanne was running things, you signed up for more than just the platform. Layout checks, print support, and hands-on guidance. None of that has changed. We're offering you an opt-in to Bookdelish so you keep getting exactly the level of service you expect.

If your book was created before 28th April 2026, you'll see a new Enable Bookdelish button on the Design & Print page in your book dashboard. One click, and Susanne joins your book. Same book, same data, same platform, with the personal, hands-on guidance she's been giving cookbook makers for years. (Change your mind? Email support@createcookbooks.com and we'll switch it back.)

For everyone else, Create Cookbooks keeps getting better. There's been a lot of behind-the-scenes work on stability and improvements you might not see but will definitely feel, and there's more to come. Visit our pricing page to see the latest.

Whether it's a school fundraiser, a family keepsake, or just something you're proud of, the goal hasn't changed: helping you create a cookbook worth sharing with the people who matter to you the most.

Thanks for continuing to be part of it,

Lucas

FAQ

Am I keeping the plan I bought? Yes, for life. To upgrade or stay current with the latest features, visit our pricing page.

Is my account moving? No. Your account stays on Create Cookbooks. Same login, same dashboard.

Will my book look or work differently? No. Your book stays exactly as it is. If you opt in to Bookdelish, only two things change for that specific book: the colour scheme switches to match the Bookdelish brand, and Susanne and her team get access to help out. The platform itself stays the same. Both changes are reversible any time by emailing support@createcookbooks.com.

I used to have Susanne's team helping me. What now? If Susanne and her team have already been working on your book, she has already enabled Bookdelish for it. There's nothing for you to do! If you're not sure, email info@bookdelish.com.

What if I want design help for my existing book? If you're on a Premium or Community plan and your book was created before 28th April 2026, go to the Design & Print page in your dashboard and click Enable Bookdelish. Susanne will join your book and take it from there. Your book stays right where it is.

What if I want design help for a new cookbook? Sign up over at bookdelish.com.

Can I undo opting in to Bookdelish? Yes. Just email support@createcookbooks.com and we'll switch it back.
